Pennie is Pennsylvania’s health insurance marketplace and the home for high-quality, affordable health insurance plans. Pennie’s mission is to help Pennsylvanians get the coverage they need and is the ONLY place that will connect them with financial assistance to help lower their monthly and/or out-of-pocket healthcare costs.
Customers can shop for health coverage plans through Pennie during the 2022 Open Enrollment Period, which runs from November 1, 2021, through January 15, 2022. Please note that for coverage starting in January 2022, customers must enroll by December 15, 2021. Coverage for customers who enroll after December 15, 2021, will begin on February 1, 2022.
Nearly 9 out of 10 customers qualify for financial assistance. Qualification is based on income and household composition, and Pennie can help customers learn if they qualify.

The Pennie application portal is now available in Spanish for the 2022 Open Enrollment Period. Additionally, customers can now receive notices from Pennie in their preferred language (English or Spanish).
The Pennie Call Center can be reached at 1-844-844-8040. It will be open throughout the Open Enrollment Period Monday through Friday from 8 am to 7 pm and on Saturdays from 8 am to 1 pm. In addition, the Broker and Assister Call Line (-1-844-844-4440) will be open from 8 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday and Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm.
Pennie.com is a valuable resource for educating customers on various aspects of the health insurance-buying process. Available online resources include explainer videos, FAQs, and tools for connecting customers with Pennie-certified experts.
