That\u2019s why we\u2019re launching Meeting You Where You Are,<strong> a capital campaign to fund a mobile medical unit<\/strong> that will bring primary care, screenings, and health education directly to the communities that need it most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This isn\u2019t just a vehicle. It\u2019s a promise.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The mobile unit will be staffed by MHEDS\u2019 providers and equipped to deliver high-quality, culturally sensitive healthcare in neighborhoods where care is hardest to reach. From isolated farms and small towns to overlooked corners of our region, we will show up for those who\u2019ve been overlooked for too long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSome families in our region aren\u2019t just miles from the nearest doctor\u2014they\u2019re miles from being seen,\u201d said Alivia Haibach, CEO of MHEDS. \u201cThis mobile unit will allow us to meet people where they are\u2014bringing dignity, care, and life-saving healthcare to those who need it most.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our goal? <strong>Raise $350,000<\/strong> to purchase and deploy this mobile unit\u2014and we\u2019re starting strong with a community fundraising push during <strong>Erie Gives Day 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why now?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Too many residents of Erie County go without care\u2014not because they won\u2019t seek it, but because they simply can\u2019t reach it. That\u2019s something Alivia Haibach knows all too well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI live in rural Erie. I know what it\u2019s like when the nearest doctor is a long drive away\u2014and too many people simply don\u2019t make that trip,\u201d said Haibach. \u201cThis mobile unit will change that. It\u2019s healthcare that meets them where they are.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The unit will initially offer <strong>primary care services<\/strong>, with a phased plan to expand into other critical healthcare services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What you can do<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MHEDS is asking the community to join us in making this vision a reality.
