Erie, Pa. – MHEDS (Multi-Cultural Health Evaluation Delivery System, Inc.), the leading healthcare system dedicated to serving Erie’s diverse New American, immigrant, and underserved communities, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Shabia Singh as its new Chief Medical Officer (CMO). She further honed her skills through residency training at the University of Oklahoma, focusing on a global health track. Board-certified in family medicine, Dr. Singh also expanded her expertise by achieving board certification in obesity medicine. In addition, she holds certifications in the medical management of alcohol and opioid use disorder, as well as hepatitis C treatment.
“I look forward to combining clinical knowledge, leadership, and collegiality, as I align with the goals of growth and change at MHEDS,” said Dr. Singh. “In conjunction with our CEO, I plan to strengthen MHEDS’ foundation as we continue working towards becoming the leading non-profit organization providing comprehensive family and preventative medicine in Erie; caring for all, regardless of income. I am very excited for my move to Erie, especially to be able to lead such a wonderful group of kind, passionate providers and staff, and engage with our patients and the Erie community.”
